Questions: 10
Engines: 3
Runs each: 3
Answers read: 90

Questions were written the way customers ask them, including area names and specific treatments. Each question was asked three times on each engine, from a Dubai location, in a fresh session with no account history. Engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews. Scanned 1–12 September 2026. How we run scans.

Example questions: “Best clinic for laser hair removal in Dubai Marina”, “Which dermatologist in Jumeirah is good for acne scars?”, “Where can I get Botox done safely in Dubai?”.

Table 4

Google vs AI

Ranking on Google and being recommended by AI are related, but they are not the same thing. Google’s map results lean heavily on distance, your Business Profile and reviews. AI answers are written from whatever sources the assistant trusts for that question: directories, articles, forums and review sites as well as Google.

Google	Business	AI Mention Rate	Band	Gap
#1	Clinic C	63%	Frequently named
#2	Name withheld	4%	Rarely named	Ranks well on Google, rarely named by AI
#3	Clinic D	38%	Sometimes named
#4	Clinic A	54%	Frequently named
#5	Clinic G	22%	Sometimes named

Google: position in the map results for “anti-wrinkle injections Dubai”, searched from the same location. A gap is a business in Google’s top 5 that falls in the “Rarely named” band. Businesses below the “Sometimes named” band are shown by their Google position only. We don’t name businesses that AI rarely mentions.

Notes

Observations

Clinic C led for injections, ahead of Clinic A, which led overall.
One lifestyle magazine’s “best clinics” list was cited in 42% of answers, more than Google.
Some answers mentioned the health authority licence register when recommending a clinic. Few clinics mention their licence on their own website.
